I wanted to learn Japanese for my honeymoon so my wife and I could travel more easily but also to allow us to lean more deeply into the culture of Japan.
The experience was amazing! As we worked together over a year we practiced the most common situations that we'd find ourselves in and built a customised learning plan so I could understand the specifics of those interactions.
In addition to building my language skills (which the Japanese often commented on how good my pronunciation was!) we also spent time learning about the traditions and nuances of Japanese culture.
